I have a very simple solution to the raging debate about the use of women's toilets by intact men identifying as female or not fully transitioned.
We stop calling toilets "Men's" and "Women's" and simply refer to them as being for Innies or Outies and you use the toilets designated for persons with genitals on the inside or outside depending on what's in your pants.
You can have that one for free.
These toilets should be a safe space for women. Somewhere that they know men are not allowed. The very fact that women still need safe spaces away from the very tiny minority of men who are sexual predators, bullies and violent misogynists is bad enough in these supposedly enlightened times. But to be told now that it's fine for a person with a penis to enter that space could have very serious implications. We've already heard of one instance where a young woman was raped by an intact male trans woman in a college in America.
I'm sorry if it hurts the feelings of genuine trans people but if you are transitioning to become a woman then surely you should have a very keen understanding of why male genitalia are unwelcome in a women's toilet? After all, you're trying your best to divest yourself of yours.
The fact is that the "trans" women who would assault women in these toilets are not truly trans. They use the label as an excuse for entering women only spaces for their own nefarious activities.
The same with intact male trans women insisting they must be sent to a women's prison. Nothing to do with them being perceived as softer than men's prisons then? And certainly not because it gives you access to lots of vulnerable women. Oh no, perish the thought.
We absolutely must be sympathetic to and understanding of people who are transitioning but it is imperative that we acknowledge that there are predators out there using the trans lobby to their own ends. Those people sadly spoil it for the genuine people, but as long as there are sickos like them out there, we have to protect women from them.
So Innies and Outies it is then.
